Died peacefully in Wanganui hospice on Sunday 11th April 2021, aged 86 years.

Beloved husband of Myra for 62 years, loved and respected father and father-in-law of Ruth and Brendan; Jonathan and Ann and treasured Grandad of Stephanie, Paul, Nicole and Fergus, Thomas and Caitlin.

Cleared for his final flight.

In accordance with John’s wishes, a family funeral has been held.

Passed away peacefully at Wanganui Hospice on the 11th April 2021, aged 86 years.

Loved brother and brother in law of Margaret (dec) and Owen Savage, Waverley; Katherine Corry, Wanganui; Malcolm and Helen Wall, Te Awamutu; Elizabeth and Peter Thompson, Auckland; Alison Dillon (dec); Ken and Sandra Wall, Te Kuiti.

Sadly missed.

According to John’s wishes a family funeral has been held.

Peacefully at home in Whanganui at dawn on Tuesday 13th April 2021, aged 93 years.

Beloved husband for 65 years of the late Yvonne.

Treasured and respected father & father-in-law of Ross & Brenda, and Megan & Mike.

Much loved Grandad and Great Grandad of all his Grandies.

Loved and loyal brother & brother-in-law of Betty & Ted Duggan, the late Ted & Jeanette Vallely, the late June & Percy Field and wee Peggy Jean.

Loved Uncle David of all his nieces and nephews.

Shirley gave so much not only to us as a family but also to the organisations she was proudly involved with. As a family we are so very proud of her and the achievements she made in her very full life. We thank those involved in her QSM nomination that was awarded in 2019.

Much loved Grandad of Shane & Emma, Lisa & Graeme, Natasha, Hayley & Nick, Jon & Michelle, Kelsey & Brad, Jessica & Tama, & Hinearangi. Great Grandad of Ethan, Riley, Ella, & Ava, Max, Darcy, Brooklyn, Quinn, and baby Tunnell, & Lazarus.

We will remember you as a great Father and Friend, who has the most amazing sense of humour, your stories and love will be with us forever. Rest now Dad, you deserve to be free of all your pain.
