Wife of the late Te Koata Tahau.

Mother to Roger and Barbara.

Whangai mama to Jeremiah Mateparae, Alan Lowe (kua mate ia) and Margaret Rynicker.

Grandmother to Kathleen, Diana, Cheryl, Vanessa and Charmaine.

The queen to all her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Our Nan will be resting at 20 Tregenna Street, Whanganui, where whakamoemiti will be held at 6:00pm every night until her Tangi in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street ,Whanganui on Friday 27th May 2022 at 10:30am.

Our Nan wanted her friends to have light refreshments in the Forrest Lounge straight after her Service.

We will leave Dempsey and Forrest at 12:30pm to take our Nan to her second home - Ratana Temepara.

At 1:00pm a short Service will be held outside the Temple Gates before taking her to our Koro at the Ratana Urupa and her final resting place.

Our nan slipped away quietly during Whakapikiora in her bed at home surrounded by much aroha.

Nan you were a strong believer in your faith till the bitter end.

We will honour your wishes and miss you forever our queen and matriarch.

A friend, a foe, he was what he was and that's how we loved him! With a smile that could light up the room.

Friends are invited to attend a Service to celebrate Hanz’s life in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street, Whanganui on Thursday 26th May 2022 at 10.00am, to be followed by a private cremation.

Passed peacefully on 20th May 2022 surrounded by his whanau, just short of his 80th birthday.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday 25th May 2022 at Cleveland Funeral Home, 179 Ingestre Street, Whanganui.

This will be followed by a private family burial at Namakura, Kaiwhaiki Pa.
